Barry Crane
Lead Pastor
Barry was born in Wisconsin, but at a young age moved to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He has served churches in Canada and the United States. He originally came to Seattle to attend graduate school at the University of Washington. In addition to his pastoral responsibilites at North Sound Church, Barry serves as the Deputy Region Chaplain for Navy Region Northwest. Barry and his wife Barb have three adult children: Sean, Ryan and Scott. North Sound Church grew out of a desire to see a life transforming community in Southwest Snohomish County that is externally-focused, culturally-relevant, and Spirit-empowered.
Allan Skoog
Pastor of Worship Ministries
Pastor Allan Skoog has served in local church ministry for over 25 years. Allan brings a deep dedication to sharing the Good News with those who have not yet become follows of Jesus Christ. As Pastor of Worship Ministries at North Sound Church, Allan assists the congregation in events that touch the lives of those in our community and leads the congregation in worship. Allan has a rich background as a Worship Pastor and producer of major productions. In addition to his responsibilities at North Sound, Allan leads the eighty-voice Mosaic Choir, a community group composed of participants from 23 different local churches. Allan and Kathie have three girls and five grandchildren!
Helen Zielke
Administrative Assistant
Helen Zielke came to North Sound Church through the sponsoring congregation, Northshore Baptist Church, in Bothell. She has served in a number of ministries at Northshore including Choir, Christmas Dessert Theatre, Wellspring PM Bible Study, Apples of Gold, and WOW ministries. She and her husband, Darrell, who serves on the North Sound Church board, have been involved from the birthing stage of North Sound Church. Helen has been an administrative assistant for two different CPA firms. Her interests and hobbies include the following: spending quality time with her two teenage grandchildren, David and Kathryn, daughter Debbie and her husband, Eric, reading, scroll woodworking, gardening, cooking and quilting.

Becky is grateful for the opportunity to use her organizational skills to help in the Worship Department at North Sound Church. She also is excited to serve the Edmonds community through assisting in the Community Relations area. She and her husband, Steve, have three grown and married children and their first grandchild was born in April of 2011.
Kerry Kearney
Director of Children's Ministries
I was brought up the daughter of a minister and have lived in Edmonds since 1985. I am married to a wonderful man named Paul and have one son named Cole. I have a civil service background and an entrepreneurial spirit. I love the Lord and count it a wonderful privilege to serve as the Director of Children’s Ministries here at NSC. It is my prayer that God would powerfully work in the lives of the kids and the teachers who give their time and talents so generously. Our mission is to teach your little ones about the love and saving grace of our Savior Jesus Christ. That through us God would speak life, peace and joy into their hearts in a world that can be so challenging. To come along side parents with encouragement and resources, to reinforce the biblical principles they are taught at home. Childhood is an exciting time and working in the children’s department gives us adults a great excuse to play while serving to further the Kingdom of God.
Ryan Brotherton
Director of Youth and Young Adults
Ryan was born and raised in Edmonds, going to school here and being involved in the community his whole life. Emily grew up in Clinton, Wa and has lived in Edmonds since graduating High School. Ryan and Emily come to North Sound Church after working with young people in ministries for the last decade. Ryan and Emily both have a passion for youth and young adults and believe that there is a generation of young people who are ready to hear and respond to the truth about Jesus Christ. Our goal is to provide community that is real and honest. We believe that being able to be honest and vulnerable with ourselves will allow us to have honest relationships with one another as well as with our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Come and join us in our pursuit, as we all grow in our relationship with Jesus. Ryan and Emily have twin daughters named Evie and Ella.
Chris Chase
Pastor of Community Ministry
Chris comes to North Sound Church with significant experience in both community service and church ministries. He has had a 22 year career with the YMCA including the role of North District Executive where he coordinated the work of Y's for North Seattle, Shoreline and South Snohomish County. In 1996 he joined the ministry team full time with Calvin Presbyterian Church in Shoreline and served for 10 years. Chris has served since Feb. 1, 2009 as Pastor of Community Ministries at North Sound Church. Chris' primary focus is helping meet the needs of those in the greater Edmonds community. He and his wife Sandy have been married for 38 years (Sandy is the City Clerk for the City of Edmonds). They have two adult sons Jeremy and Ryan. Jeremy and his wife Maria have served the last 5 and a half years as missionaries in Phnom Penh, Cambodia with Mission To Unreached People (MUP). They have three beautiful children (Owen - 4 years Lucia - 2 and a half years and 2 month old Jonas!). Ryan and wife Teresa live in the Magnolia area of Seattle. Ryan is a teacher / coordinator of extended day programs at Seattle Country Day School. Teresa has a heart for justice issues in the world and helping serve people without a voice.
